She is in the bunch of little heads on the left... it was a very big night for her.

It's been a long time since my last entry.. many things have prevented me from blogging.. here is just one of many reasons... Oreo bit through my computer cable. After I took the laptop and power cable to the Dell guys, I noticed Oreo has been chewing all the plugged cables in the house, including the lightson the Christmas tree. I sprayed all the cables with bitter apple spray, if it doesn't work I'm going to rub cat nip on the power cable to my neighbors generator.

I'm Back... I have just joined the millions of users who have had the dreaded blue screen of death (hard drive crash).. I never thought it could happen to me... But thanks to the wonderful guys at Access Computer, I didn't lose my photos.... They are very good and fast.. they slapped a new drive in here faster than I can log on... I promise to get on later and up date you on all that's been happening... but for now I have to go to buy a new router...

Check out Bailey's new tooth.... Yes, she still has her baby teeth. If they don't fall out by the 4th, Dr. Steiner will pull them.

After a day of projects... they both gave it up. I just love them.

Pool Day

Met Oreo... Bailey's new buddy! She has wanted a pet for so long . For the last month she had to prove she could be responsible. We wanted to her into get into a groove with school before we added something new... But Oreo had different plans. Our friends living next door discovered a cat in their yard. It was hungry, timid and beautiful. Karen fed her for several weeks, while her poodle Pippin went crazy.. When Karen realized she didn't have a home she called us, knowing we love cats. Bailey had only been in school one week but she was determined to prove she could handle a pet.. I took her to meet the stray Karen had begun to love. Bailey was so excited about it... She said " It's so nice of you to give me your cat, and the best part is you didn't make me pay for it".

Some how the cat must have gotton misplaced from her family... she seems so at home with us, the first night she jumped in the the bed with Bailey and took a nap. Bailey doesn't like Oreo's CAT NAPS.. or how she hides from her. But she had no problem finding out if she was a girl or not.... I'm sure this isn't the last blog entry about Oreo...

Mining for gems, is was very cute to see them get so excited about the gems they found... rose quartz, crystal quartz, lapis, fools gold (or as Christian called it Fooz gold), purple stones, some of them where huge.. With the cool water and under the shade we forgot the hot weather.

I'm glad everybody found about the same amount of gems.. ..the kids where even discussing gem trading!!

Mark found a great park in Salisbury, NC...Dan Nichols Park. I don't know who Dan is but he has a great park. We planned on staying until dark but it was soo hot (102) then a huge thunderstorm rolled in.

Bailey was frightened but she handled it pretty well. We ended up a Chick-fil-a , but we agreed to try again. I would like to rent a cabin and stay the night, I think the kids would have a blast.. We wouldn't get any sleep but the kids would have a great memory...

Wendy's friends Bram & Wendy (also from Flordia) took us out on the lake for the day... It was a blast..

Wendy was doing her prom queen wave just before she flipped the float.... I hate I missed it...

We spent Sunday on the Lake... with all this hot weather the lake is down 26 feet..

This was my first trip to Murphy, but it will not be my last. It's a great little town with plenty to do... great shopping, large and interesting flea markets, great resturants (Shoebooties) and great people.. Even though they are all from Florida...

Guess who jsut turned ONE? Robby Bobby..

What fun.. we went on the sunset cruise from Little River, on the Sea Thunder.. we got a treat... several dolphin feeding at a shrimp boat. I bet there where about a dozen, they where swiming all around the boat. It was very exciting!

The kids liked Mabry Mill, we learned how the settlers would have made yarn from wool and carved wood into a walking cane. It wasa great day the weather was great, sunny but not too hot.

The kids spent the day swimming. What sweet & pretty girls we have...
